Career Networking
Become an ASFW Career Networking Volunteer
Interested in becoming an ASFW Career Networking Volunteer and helping out another OSU woman by….
- Being a source of information on your career path?
- Offering insight and guidance?
- Providing advice and resources?
Then being a career networking volunteer is for you!
ASFW welcomes your active participation in our new Networking initiative. Our goal is to provide women with an active university-wide network for the purpose of:
- Creating important professional and personal connections
- Building professional relationships
- Learning about others’ experiences at the university
- Developing informal mentoring relationships
- Connecting women to other women at Ohio State!
CLICK HERE to open and view the 2006-2007 ASFW membership directory. Member names proceeded by atrerisks *** indicate individuals participating as Career Network Volunteers. Career Network Volunteers are ASFW members who are interested in being contacted for developing informal mentoring relationships.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
To participate as a volunteer, you must be a member of ASFW. If you check off “I am interested in becoming a career networking volunteer” on your membership form, your name will then be added to the ASFW Online Directory and noted as a volunteer. Since your title and department will be listed in the Directory, women can contact you directly if interested in finding out more about your position, etc. As this is a very self-directed process, you may or may not be contacted. The membership committee will contact each volunteer at the end of the year to gauge the response.
Thank you for your interest in the Association of Staff and Faculty Women and our Networking initiative. Your enthusiasm and interest will help women across the university make important connections that will enhance their experience at Ohio State! |
